Lincoln High School Sports & Marketing Class Raises Over $14,000 During Annual Sportainment Night

Wisconsin Rapids, WI — January 17, 2026 — The Lincoln High School Sports & Marketing Class successfully hosted its annual Sportainment Night on Friday, January 16, delivering an engaging community event while gaining hands‑on experience in event production and fundraising. The event took place during the boys’ and girls’ basketball doubleheader and featured game activities designed for local youth and families.

This year’s fundraising efforts benefited Team Rapids, the chosen recipient for the 2026 event. Thanks to the hard work of the students and the generosity of the community, the class raised just over $14,000. Under the direction of LHS business teacher Mr. Nick Davis, students excelled in promoting the mission of Team Rapids and emphasizing the importance of keeping grants within the local school district to support students and youth programs.

Community contributions like these play a crucial role in expanding the Team Rapids endowment, which, in turn, increases support available for student clubs, activities, and youth initiatives across Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools and community. Team Rapids extends its sincere appreciation to the many businesses and individuals who helped make this year’s event a remarkable success.

🙏 Thank you to the students and every business and community member who made this night a success!
